The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is responsible for administering federal labor laws. Through this department, individuals can get information on their workers’ rights within their workspaces, wages, insurance and more. This is especially essential for Americans with Disabilities, to ensure that they know what to expect and ask for from their employers.

Through the Americans with Disabilities Act, the U.S. Department of Labor can prohibit discrimination against people with disabilities. This extends to various areas including public accommodations, employment, access to state and local government programs, and transportation.
